RIO MASSONINO SAFETY

The planned works aim to secure the Massonino River in the town of Francavilla. The project is divided into four interventions: protecting existing homes from erosion and landslides by constructing reinforced concrete retaining walls (Interventions 1 and 4);
improving stormwater flow by cleaning the banks and riverbed (Interventions 1, 2, and 4); protecting the foundations of existing and planned retaining walls by creating a sliding bed with irregularly placed concrete blocks (Interventions 1, 2, and 4); increasing the flow rate and preventing water from invading the roadway in the event of extraordinary weather events (Intervention 3).
