Structural Seismic Improvement – Serravalle Designer Outlet

The intervention aims to improve the seismic behavior of the prefabricated structure called “Block A Building A1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 Lot No. 1 sector A PEC Prague” of the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet of Serravalle Scrivia, following the demolition and subsequent reconstruction (with an independent building of the A7 and A8 buildings).

The planned interventions to improve the structures’ behavior towards the earthquake are divided into two macro phases:
a) Reinforcement of the connections between the structural elements, within this phase the following interventions are individuated:
– Beam-to-pillar node connection;
– Prefabricated infill panel connection – pillar;
– Flat plate connection – beam.
b) Increase in resistance of structural and non-structural elements, within this phase the following interventions are individuated:
– Squared pillar reinforcement;
– Bracket reinforcement in semi-perforated masonry.
